How the program works

An after-school program for grades K through 8, run by our coaches at your kid's school. One hour a week, right after dismissal, for a 12-week semester.

What kids do

  • Learn to putt
  • Learn to throw with good form
  • Keep score
  • Play a short course set up right on campus
  • Compete in a tournament at the end of the semester

No experience needed. If a kid has never held a disc, that is fine. We teach them to play.

When and how long

  • One day a week, right after dismissal, for one hour
  • A full semester, 12 weeks
  • Kindergarten through 8th grade
  • Every kid who finishes the semester gets a certificate for a free disc from our store

What an hour looks like

Every session runs the same way, so kids know what to expect.

The hour

  • Check in and warm-up stretches, about 8 minutes
  • The week's lesson on one skill, 12 to 15 minutes
  • Practice and play, 30 to 35 minutes of drills and games
  • Clean up and dismissal, the last 5 to 10 minutes

Questions parents ask

Does my kid need their own disc?

No. We bring the discs. Kids do not need to bring anything.

Can a beginner join?

Yes. Nobody needs experience. We teach them to play.

What grades can join?

Kindergarten through 8th grade.

What if it rains?

We move into the gym.

Can my kid bring their own disc?

We would rather they didn't. We bring discs for everyone to practice with, so nothing gets lost or mixed up.

What should my kid wear or bring?

Just themselves. Clothes they can run around in.

What if my kid gets hurt?

We call you first, then our contact at the school. In an emergency we follow the school's own plan.

Who are the coaches?

Our own coaches, every session. Each one has first aid training, ongoing coaching training, and a full background check through the school district. Meet them on the coaches page.

What does it cost, and who pays?

Families pay for the semester. Program fee and what it includes: shown here once Chad gives the go Scholarships are not available yet.

How does my school get started?

Ask your principal or your PTO. In most schools, they pick the after-school programs for the next semester. Or send us the school's name and we will reach out. From a yes, we can usually start in about a month.
